Looking to scratch your performance itch - then here's one for you.... Classic Acts is holding auditions for Cyrano de Bergerac to be performed at the Parker Mainstreet Center. You know the story... Cyrano de Bergerac, an exceptional soldier, poet, intellectual and loyal friend, believes no woman can ever love him and his humongous nose. He adores the beautiful Roxane so much that he helps the handsome, less intelligent, Christian win her love by providing the words to woo her; even though doing so means Cyrano will never win her heart. Like the original Edmond Rostand work, much of Nagel Jackson’s translation of this play is presented in humorous verse.
Who: 16 yrs & older
When: Tu, 7/16 @ 6-8p
What to do: Prepare a 1-minute dramatic monologue. Be there 15-minutes early with headshot and acting resume.
What to know: Rehearsals run for 5 weeks. Shows 8/26 and 8/27 at the Parker Mainstreet Center.
