OY!Improv Spontaneous Creativity for Teens April 14

Just in from  B'nai Havurah Colorado Reconstructionist Federation Denver, CO…  OY!Improv helps teens discover their inner creativity in a unique, interactive two-hour workshop. Join in the experiences of improv (improvisational theater) and creative dramatics techniques, games, and exercises blending spontaneity with Jewish spice. Explore and interpret our Jewish spirit in a fun, compelling, and engaging session, based on improvisational scenarios. OY!Improv is directed and produced by Cherie Karo Schwartz and Pam Roth O'Mara. Cherie Karo Schwartz is a storyteller, author and teacher (BA in Literature and an MA in Developmental Theatre). Using storytelling and improvisation in her performances, workshops, and residencies, she has shared stories and creativity with thousands of people of all ages for four decades across the USA and abroad, including Israel, Canada, and Turkey, working in Jewish and other sacred and  secular settings.  She is the author of three book

DEADLINE Mar 31 | Tri-Lakes Views Call for Entries… Entries accepted January-March each year. Call for Entries: Tri-Lakes Views announces a Call for Entries for its annual outdoor public art exhibit entitled ARTSites. ARTSites is a year long outdoor sculpture on-loan exhibit displayed in the Tri-Lakes area of Colorado. Tri-Lakes is the region north of Colorado Springs encompassing the municipalities of Monument and Palmer Lake as well as unincorporated northern El Paso County and is home to over 50,000 people. The juried exhibit will be installed in June and be on display for one year. Artists selected for the exhibit will receive a $300 honorarium. Artists should submit digital images on a CD of all entries. Written material accompanying the images should include: name, address, city, state, zip, phone # and e-mail along with a website, if appropriate. Lone Tree Arts Center Announces 2013-14 Season

From the Lone Tree Arts Center: “One of the common themes [that our audience enjoys]:  American musicals with great scores were at the top of each list. As a result, LTAC will be presenting South Pacific in Concert (a dynamic way to focus on the music and artistry of the singers) and a full production of Big River , a sweeping and familiar musical based on Mark Twain’s Huck Finn. After last year’s Home for the Holidays success, LTAC team members were flooded with requests to bring this Lone Tree original show back. This year, in conjunction with Starkey Theatrix, LTAC will revive the show, with director Paul Dwyer joining the artistic team. While the framework for the show will remain the same and some of the most popular performers will once again be featured, Home for the Holidays 2013 will also include new acts and performers to keep the show fresh. Other theatrical productions will include the Colorado premiere of Handsome Little Devils’ Squirm Burpee: a Vaudevillian Melodrama
