Elizabeth CO is having ElizaBash Street Festival in conjunction with the Elizabeth Stampede Parade. The parade goes through town and the street festival is along the parade route featuring booths with antiques, art, crafts, gifts, food, handmades, services, and unusual products. They would love for you to participate! They plan to have a band, food and many activities to attract all ages.
Parade: begins at 10:00a ending  near the street fair.
Street Festival: Saturday, June 8th | 11a – 3p
Where: Main Street, Elizabeth, CO. Main Street will be closed off  from 11:00a to 3:00p

SoHa Literary Reporter Mollie Rue tells us about a literary event produced by the Conundrum Press. “Join us for a celebration of the art of poetry, music, coffee, and tacos! Denver's Poet Laureate of yore [and current SoHa Poet], Chris Ransick, and award-winning authors Eleanor Swanson and Robert King will read from their (and each other's) new books and let us in on their conversation about life, the universe, and everything. It's time to plan for our biggest event of the year, ART IN THE PARK. This promises to be the biggest and best Art in the Park yet. We have an increased number of participating artist signed to exhibit this year

Volunteers Needed for help with Imagination Station

Help is needed with sanding wooden blocks for the Imagination Station. Art Guild members with woodworking skills, belt sander, and vice or clamps to hold 3.5" x 3.5" blocks while they are sanded.

Arts for Colorado Presents NEA’s Beth Bienvenu Discussing Audience Accessibility & the Arts... You’ll learn how your organization can increase audience participation. Making organizations accessible to people with disabilities and the rapidly growing number of older adults is key to expanding audiences. A strong leader in this effort is Beth Bienvenu, the director of the National Endowment for the Art’s (NEA) Office of Accessibility. Bienvenu’s lunchtime presentation will offer strategies for implementing policies that make the arts accessible to people of all abilities. Following her presentation, guests will participate in a question and answer session.

RidgeGate Nature Hike: Botany 101 | Friday, May 31

You’ll learn the basics of plant identification as we hike along the RidgeGate trail. Fairy trumpets, harebells, skullcap, larkspur. Bring your camera, and listen closely as a naturalist guide from South Suburban Parks and Recreation matches up these whimsical names with the beautiful plants of early summer.
