Call for Artists: 16th Annual Art on the Streets...  ...Art on the Streets celebrates the power of art in public places, while turning the streets of Downtown Colorado Springs into a yearlong outdoor sculpture gallery. Visual artists are invited to submit entries to the 16th annual Art on the Streets juried sculpture exhibition. The 2014-2015 exhibit will be installed June 2014 through May 2015. Each artist selected receives a $1,000 honorarium; and all selected artists are eligible for a $10,000 Juror Award and a $1,000 People’s Choice Award. Selected artwork will be exhibited throughout the 40-square-block downtown district, with the majority of works in the busiest 10 to 15 block core. Lead juror for the 2014-2015 exhibit is Blake Milteer, Museum Director and Chief Curator for the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center. Application deadline is Monday, February 24, 2014.
