Nature Journaling Hike Eye-Opening | July 18

Last night’s (July 18th) nature journaling hike at the Bluff overlooking Lone Tree with 360° views of the 14ers to the west, Castle Rock to the south, Parker to the east, and Denver to the north, was fun, energizing, educational, and inspiring. South Suburban naturalist and interpreter Abby Halperin provided an overview to nature journaling, a short hike to the top of the Bluff, with observations and sample nature journaling exercises along the way. Participants met in the parking lot of the Prairie Sky Park in Lone Tree, introduced themselves and got to work (and fun) learning and experiencing nature journaling. All agreed it was fun, informative, and recommends the Nature Journaling Hike to everyone. Thank you, Abby – and best wishes on your new career and life in the Big Apple (NYC).
South Suburban Parks and Recreation (sspr) District naturalists are based at the Carson Nature Center at South Platte Park in Littleton.
