Labor Day Weekend in SoHa Colorado

While the hot days – daze – are still with us, the kids are back in school and thoughts jump forward to annual Fall arts and crafts fairs, symphony, theater , chorale, art, culture, a new round of exhibits at the South Suburban Rec Centers (Lone Tree, Buck, and Goodson), and of course, football. And, everything in between. Once we get past the Labor Day Weekend BBQs always fun for catching up with those you've somehow managed to misalign with all Summer, we have a nice line up – to mention a few chronologically:

--Douglas County Historic Preservation Meeting in Castle Rock (Wed, 9/4);
--Ravens at Broncos (Thu, 9/5) – there’s a bit of history there;
--Don Brehm as Teddy Roosevelt at Schweiger Ranch (Fri, 9/6); and
--Opening Reception of the Colorado Watercolor Society Exhibit @ Curtis Art Center (Sat, 9/7) – the exhibit runs through Fri, 9/27.
Recreation Center Exhibitions in September:  Dusty Hagerty’s photography @ Lone Tree; Mardelle Espinoza’s sculpture and painting @ Buck; and Paint Box Guild @ Goodson.

Cancelled: Annual Summerset Festival 9/13-9/15

Summerset Festival has been cancelled…  “ Due to weather current and forecasted weather conditions, as well as the current conditions at Clement park, we have unfortunately made the decision to cancel this years Summerset Festival.  We look forward to the 30th Annual Summerset Festival next year, and hope to see you there.  Exhibitors will be contacted by event coordinators with more information.” Now that Summer’s (almost) gone…. Museum of Outdoor Arts | Final Days of Natura Obscura

Don't miss one of the Denver area's hottest immersive art experiences of 2019. We strongly recommend pre-purchasing tickets throughout the month of December to guarantee admission!      Natura Obscura is an immersive arts exhibition located at our indoor facility at the Englewood Civic Center.
