Review :: Another Wonderful Cherry Creek Chorale Performance

Starting their 31st season, the Cherry Creek Chorale's Oct 8 & 9 performances focused on The Wild West with a selection of western-themed music performed by the Colorado Children's Chorale, the 130-voice strong Cherry Creek Chorale, and Bill Barwick and the Sons of the Tumbleweed (with Johnny Neill on fiddle and Steve McCartney on bass). My favorite were the more lively tunes: Buffalo Gals, Ghost Riders in the Sky, and This Old Man. The purity of the the Cherry Creek Chorale's sound always lifts me, albeit temporarily, to a higher place. Each year the Chorale present a series of four performances; the theme for the 2010-2011 series is Compass Points. Next concert scheduled for December 10 & 11 is Stars in the East.
