5th Annual Spring Literary Festival :: Sat, 4/30

The Fifth Annual Spring Literary Festival sponsored by ACC Writers' Studio includes workshops by authors Page Lambert, Mary Crockett Hill, Robert Greer, Carol Guerrero-Murphy, and Will Hobbs.... “Our yearly literary festival is our favorite event,” said Dr. Kathryn Winograd,coordinator of the ACC Writers Studio. “Each year we offer outstanding writers who have the gift for both teaching craft and inspiring creativity. Itis a great opportunity for anyone who loves to write to participate inprofessional workshops by nationally published authors at such a low cost.”  When : Sat, 4/30 @ 8:30a-3:30p Where : Arapahoe Community College Half Moon Cost : $45 for two workshops; $25 for one workshop. ACC Writers Studio Announces Literary Contest Winners

As announced by Arapahoe Community College Writers Studio...Winners of 5th Writers Studio Literary Contest for unpublished work in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction. 1st place winners awarded $250, published in national literary journal, Many Mountains Moving, and invited as Writers Studio Literary Festival guests on 4/30 to read their works. 2nd place winners also Festival guests. Wally's Cafe , a Comedy in Two Acts... as noted on www.coloradostage.com Wally's Cafe is a rollicking comedy about a wise-cracking but loving young couple from New Jersey who have big plans when they open a cafe in the middle of the California desert. Their first customer is a pretty young and naive small town girl from Illinois on her way to Hollywood to become a star. However, she stays on as a waitress throughout the following 40 years. The three experience ups and downs; laughter and tears of life itself, while following their dreams. When: Evenings and matinees in March and April...
