DEADLINE Mar 31 | Tri-Lakes Views Call for Entries… Entries accepted January-March each year. Call for Entries: Tri-Lakes Views announces a Call for Entries for its annual outdoor public art exhibit entitled ARTSites. ARTSites is a year long outdoor sculpture on-loan exhibit displayed in the Tri-Lakes area of Colorado. Tri-Lakes is the region north of Colorado Springs encompassing the municipalities of Monument and Palmer Lake as well as unincorporated northern El Paso County and is home to over 50,000 people. The juried exhibit will be installed in June and be on display for one year. Artists selected for the exhibit will receive a $300 honorarium.
Artists should submit digital images on a CD of all entries. Written material accompanying the images should include: name, address, city, state, zip, phone # and e-mail along with a website, if appropriate. Give the name of each piece submitted, material, size,and value. Pieces must range between 3ft and 8 ft tall and be suitable for outside display in a region that will have heavy winds, rain and snow.Judges will choose the pieces for exhibit based upon artistic expression and craftsmanship,how the piece serves to activate or enhance public space, suitability for outdoor display and appropriateness of scale.
