What’s Fall without pumpkins – and it’s indeed Fall in SoHa CO – the day’s temperature tops out at 4p. Here’s the Chatfield Pumpkin Festival…
When: Fri, Sat, Sun, Oct 11-13, 2013 @ 9a – 5p each day
Where: Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield
From the hosts… “Embrace the fall season at this year’s Pumpkin Festival. This three day event is a great tradition for the entire family where thousands of pumpkins will be ripe for the picking in our 10-acre patch. Families can enjoy live music by Stray Dog Colorado, express face painting, pumpkin carving demonstrations and pumpkin bowling. The ever-so-popular monster hand-building station will return to this year’s festival. Kids can enjoy pony rides, amusement rides, balloon twists, giant coloring murals and a cookie decorating station. And the best part of Pumpkin Festival--all activities listed above are included with admission! Vendors will be onsite offering your favorite festival treats. Don’t forget to bring your wagon to our pumpkin patch (the pumpkin patch opens to the public on Friday, Oct. 11 at 9 a.m. and entry is included in admission to Pumpkin Festival). Free pumpkin daycare is available, so you can enjoy the rest of the festival. While visiting Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield, make it a day of family fun and stop by the spectacular Corn Maze right next door. “
