The new Lone Tree Arts Center opens its 2011-2012 Season on Fri, 9/9 with... a special concert by original cast members of the Pulitzer Prize-winning Broadway musical RENT , Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal. Other inaugural season productions include: The Tartan Terrors , Celtic group GrooveLily , Indie-pop-musical theatre trio Spencers Theater of Illusion , International Magicians of the Year Arvada Center productions of  Ragtime and Chess   Creede Repertory Theatre production of Unnecessary Farce White Christmas  for the holiday season, and Performances by Opera Colorado and Stories on Stage .  Tickets : A season ticket package with a theater subscription and option to purchase priority seating to single performance events will go on sale in late May. With the Lone Tree Arts Center's (LTAC)  anticipated opening in August , convenient access to professional performing arts is just around the corner for all Coloradoans and those of us in the SoHa region, especially residents of South Metro Denver (a major part of SoHa). LTAC Executive Director Lisa Rigsby Peterson is collaborating with some of the Front Range’s premier performing arts companies to present their productions in Lone Tree. And, LTAC will be a leading presenter of smaller national and regional touring artists and productions; a new provider of arts education programs for children; and an important new meeting and event rental site for corporate, civic and private groups, and community arts groups including the Lone Tree Symphony Orchestra. Free parking and concierge-level services are just two of the amenities the new Arts Center plans to offer.
