Thank you Highlands Ranch Metro District for hosting and the Pi'ilani Hawaiian Civic Club of Colorado for planning and implementing the Ho‘olaule‘a…  Colorado festival to celebrate Hawaiian, Polynesian, and Pacific Cultures. The entertainment was great, the food was dat good, and faces were smiling everywhere.  “It’s a small world indeed. Gotta Be There : 2nd Bi-Annual Ho‘olaule‘a… A Colorado festival to celebrate Hawaiian, Polynesian, and Pacific Cultures. Entertainment – hula, Polynesian dance, music, 101 ukulele players – crafts, merchandise, food booths – cultural demonstrations and lessons - raffle drawings. This event, hosted by Highlands Ranch Metro District, attracted over 4000 visitors in 2011 and we expect the crowd to double for 2013. When : TODAY... South Suburban’s Public Art Committee encourages Colorado artists to apply to have their work displayed at South Suburban rec centers. Through July 2013, South Suburban Parks and Recreation  featuring  local artists at its  Goodson, Lone Tree, and Douglas H. Buck Rec centers: Donna Lefferdo (Goodson); Amy Van Stensel (Lone Tree); and Dustin (Dusty) Hagerty (Buck) .   Donna Lefferdo works in watercolor, acrylics and mixed media in styles  varying   from realism to abstract; still life floral, landscapes, and architecture .
