Chris Wiger :: Best Theater Marketing Maven - 2011

Image
Chris Wiger, Marketing & PR Director for Lone Tree Art Center , is Denver's loss and SoHa's gain (as seen on westword.com)... " Photo by John Moore "After fifteen years as publicity director (and, briefly, head of patron relations) at the Denver Center Theatre Company, Chris Wiger left in February for a spiffy job as director of marketing and public relations at the new Lone Tree Arts Center . We started missing things about him even before he left. His extraordinary efficiency, for example: Wiger responded to requests for seats, photographs and information in record time... His thoughtfulness: Get caught in a traffic jam, and you were likely to find Wiger standing in the middle of the lobby when you finally raced in, holding out your tickets; find yourself seated next to a loud drunk and he'd get you another seat, pronto....While we look forward to seeing him at Lone Tree, evenings at the Denver Center will never be the same." SoHa Happenings Tours Lone Tree Arts Center

Image
Along with several other South Metro Denver Chamber members, all ensconced in hard hat, day-glow vest, and protective glasses, I was recently treated to a tour of the quickly evolving Lone Tree Arts Center (Rte I-25 @ Lincoln). Our guides Executive Director Lisa Rigsby Peterson and Marketing & PR Director   Chris Wiger ensured that we saw it all; entry hall, box office, 500-seat theater, smaller theater/meeting space/banquet hall, offices, loading dock, green room, stage, piano room, orchestra pit, and other areas comprising the soon-to-be completed 43,000 sq. ft. Lone Tree Arts Center. And yes, we’ll be able to say we stood in the narrow corridor to be occupied by the many lines and equipment designed to move and secure scenery and other stage apparatus. Construction is on target for the scheduled Summer 2001 opening.  Looking forward to it. It’ll be breath-taking. This is an exciting time for the Lone Tree Arts Center and everyone involved. Be part of it - contribu...
